Since leaving Gemcraft, I established M.L.C. Company, as a
Real Estate Service firm primarily engaged in inspection and
general contracting services.
Licensed in June of 1991 by the State of Texas as a Real Estate
Inspector
and in March of 1992 gained F.H.A. Code Compliance Inspector
status from H.U.D..
As of April 1993 the Company began offering environmental
inspection and monitoring services beginning with electret
radon monitoring, in compliance with E.P.A. guidelines.
Late 1992 gained a fellowship with the N.C.D.S. (now Construction
Arbitration Services) as an arbitrator, mediator and dispute
settler. 1993 saw this company move entirely to the inspection
business and away from general contracting.
This inspector is also an Adjunct Professor at the North Harris
County Community College in Inspection.
Gained certification as a Farmers Home Administration inspector
in 1993.
In
1993 this inspector was designated F.H.A. 203K Rehabilitation
Consultant.
Testing
and certification for the designation of '1 and 2 Family Dwelling
Code Inspector' from the Southern Building Code Congress International
(C.A.B.O.) was achieved in 1994.
Designation as a code compliance inspector, was secured from
the following new home warranty companies; H.O.M.E., H.B.W.,
R.W.C., ACES and B.H.W. in 1995.
This inspector also teaches Inspection and Certification classes
for R.E.E.S. approved by The Texas Real Estate Commission
and the TPREIA inspectors association. The Certification allows
instruction to both inspectors and real estate agents.
In 1996 M.L.C. RE Inspections began providing construction
lender and draw inspection services to mortgage lenders and
banking institutions. The firm also provides a variety of
inspection types and services as described under the 'services
offered' section.
Owner Builder Network inspector certification came in 2002.
In 2002 the CABO (SBCCI) code certification was converted
to the IRC as a Combination Residential Inspector.
In 2006 designation, as a 3rd party Inspector, was gained
from the Texas Residential Construction Commission. 2007 as
a County Fee Inspector and a Code Compliance Inspector.
2008, certification from the National Association of Wastewater
Transporters.
Certification was gained, in 2009, as a Phase I Inspector
from the Post Tensioning Institute.
Mike as provides expert witnessing services for construction
related cases.

Over eighteen years of construction experience and twenty
two years of professional management experience. Two years
of mortgage lending, three years of general contracting and
10 years of real estate inspection. Total construction and
inspection experience is over 26 years. Involved in the construction
or inspection of over 15,000 structures in the Houston area.
Have directed residential construction and marketing. Direct
responsibility included single family, multifamily and commercial
structures.
